AWARD
Progression Model Award
Purpose
VCYW’s Youth Coach Leadership Scholarship supports assistant coaches who demonstrate commitment, leadership, and service throughout the competitive season.
Scholarship Range
$500 – $1,500 per season based on participation and leadership level.
Tier Structure
Tier 1 – Full Leadership (90%+ attendance): $1,200–$1,500
Tier 2 – High Commitment (75–89%): $800–$1,200
Tier 3 – Active Contributor (50–74%): $500–$800
Expectations
- Attend practices consistently (75–90%+)
- Assist with instruction and athlete development
- Support tournaments and team operations
- Model leadership, discipline, and positive mentorship
Time Commitment
~6 hours per week
~16-week season
~90–100 total hours
Important Notes
- Awards are based on participation and may be prorated
- Must remain in good standing with VCYW
- W-9 may be required for payment
